Clinical Director / Therapist position available  -- Marengo and Marshalltown

The Grace C Mae Advocate Center (GCMAC), Inc. is searching for a qualified Clinical Director / Therapist for a combination of 2 office sites. (Marengo and Marshalltown, Iowa).  Candidate must be a LISW Master’s level therapist who is committed to excellence in a family-centered practice. Candidate will conduct therapy services to children, adults, and families who have mental health needs as well as act as the Clinical Director traveling between the 2 office locations.  Responsibilities include clinical oversight, clinical supervision, with no financial/budget responsibilities.  The compensation package is competitive and negotiable with considerations being given for advanced levels of training and skills. Additional benefits including on-the-job extensive training, including training by a board approved play therapy provider and CEU’s to become a Registered Play Therapist. JOB DESCRIPTION

Social Worker LISW/LMSW

Hospital Nursing Services / Clinic Services

 

The Social Worker is a licensed professional responsible for providing social services to clients and families of clients of Regional Health Services of Howard County and all its departments.  The Social Worker works under the guideline of the Medical Staff and as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering care to our clients.  The Social Worker interviews clients to determine their problems and needs; consults with physicians and other team members; interviews families of clients; contacts agencies regarding aid to clients; and is skilled in assessment and diagnostic procedures/practices, case management, treatment planning, and medical record documentation.  Furnishes diagnostic, assessment, preventative and therapeutic services to promote the mention health of Regional Health Services of Howard County patients and community.  He/she acts as a resource to physicians, hospital staff and the community in development awareness of psychological principles, which might be helpful in working with individuals and groups.

LICENSED CLINICAL THERAPIST

 

Capstone Behavioral Healthcare seeks a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team of mental health professionals.  Capstone has offices in both Newton and Grinnell, Iowa.

 

LICENSED CLINICAL THERAPIST: Our therapists work on a multi-disciplinary team to provide outpatient mental health services to the community.  Job duties would include providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning to individuals and families.

 

Education:  Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a properly accredited college or university.

 

Experience:  Successful completion of internship/practicum.  Preferred completion of two years of supervised clinical experience.  Two years of clinical supervision can be provided by Capstone’s Clinical Director. 

 

Licensure/Certification:  Must have possession and proof of appropriate licensure/certification from the State of Iowa Board of Behavioral Science, State of Iowa Board of Social Work, or Iowa State Board of Psychology.

JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:  Mental Health Therapist

 

REPORTS TO:  Chief Behavioral Health Officer

 

CLASSIFICATION:  Full time, Production Based Pay

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  The Mental Health Therapist position provides assessment and therapy services to children, teens and/or families on an outpatient basis. Counseling services may include: outpatient mental health therapy through private insurance, Medicaid, or private pay; substance abuse services (with appropriate licensure); and short term counseling. This position may also provide therapy services and assessments to youth while they are residing in shelter.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field

*Licensed in the state of Iowa; Applicants working toward independent licensure in their

  field will be provided weekly individual and group supervision

*Clinical/counseling experience working with children and/or families

*Demonstrated ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with clients,

  families, colleagues and others in the human services field

*Ability to work flexible hours

*Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

DUTIES SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION:

*Provide evidence-based therapy services to youth and/or families on an outpatient basis

*Conduct intake and mental health assessments (as appropriate per licensure/credentials)

  and make appropriate referrals

*Conduct individual and/or group therapy services for youth within the shelter if

  appropriate

*Maintain complete and up-to-date files for all clients

*Attend team meetings, clinical consultations, supervision, and other appropriate
